Building has started

Yes, building has started!   The Farm Shed will (hopefully) be up and running by the end of the year.

By the time you read this, there should be a slab and throughout the month, framing should help you visualise something of what is to come!

The Farm Shed (next to the Bicheno Communtity Church at the southern entrance to Bicheno) is a multi-functional building housing the post office (which will have its own, separate entrance), a coffee and wine bar and the east coast wine centre with Tasmanian art and design throughout.  The Farm Shed will proclaim the east coast as a wine region by showcasing the regional 19 vineyards through exhibition with interpretation, tastings and sales.

We acknowledge the Federal and State Government’s provision of a grant towards the Farm Shed through the Demand Driven Tourism Infrastructure Fund.

We also thank the Bicheno Communtity Church for their assistance during the build and especially the Bicheno Community for the enthusiasm and support shown to us which has encouraged us to continue on this, at times overwhelming, adventure.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.  We have images of the building and the floor plan on hand and are happy to run through them anytime with anyone who is interested or concerned.

Stay tuned, we’ll keep you posted, or follow our progress @thefarmshedtas on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
