Blacksmith Richard Martin was a commercial photographer for 15 years before deciding to become a blacksmith, in the process switching from perhaps the cleanest to the dirtiest profession around?! He lives down at Franklin, about 45 minutes’ drive south of Hobart, and comes from a talented family – we serve his sister Liz’s Divine Additions award winning granola, almond and cranberry clusters and divinely additive dukkah.
We stock Richard’s cheese cleavers (knives) and his newly-fabricated pate knives have arrived at The Farm Shed just in time for Christmas. Both are made from marine grade stainless steel and are $155 each.
We also sell his steel magnolias which colour nicely once outside in the garden and have sold out of his winter fire pokers and groovy hooks to hang them on.
Richard is part of an “artistic” blacksmith group in Hobart. We’ve proudly stocked his work for several years now and he always let’s us know when he has something new that he thinks our customers might be interested in.
If you’re interested in any of Richard’s items and can’t make it to Bicheno, please give us a call and we’ll happily arrange sale and shipping for you.
