Chef Christopher Bell knocked our socks off with his food for the East vs South dinner during the Great Eastern Wine Week, so we are excited to announce our new ongoing collaboration with him.

Chris will guide diners through his favourite cuisines and techniques in a series of shared small plate tasting events designed around the concept of “breaking bread”.

The first event in the series will draw influence from the bold seasonal flavours of the Calabrian diet – think charred sweet onions, spicy-spreadable njuda, grilled seafood and of course real fresh bread. Naturally, there will be some wonderful East Coast wine to accompany this journey of discovery.

Held on the second weekend of each month, there will be two sittings on both the Saturday and Sunday evenings. The event will be set up on tables of 10, so decide which sitting to attend and book a table with a group of friends or reserve a spot for yourself and you’ll be bound to make some new friends.

WHAT: Break Bread with Christopher Bell No.1 – Calabria
WHEN: Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 November 2021, two sittings each evening. First sitting 5.30–7pm, Second sitting 7.15-8.30pm
WHERE: The Farm Shed East Coast Wine Centre, 53A Burgess St, Bicheno
HOW MUCH: $55 per head
BOOKINGS REQUIRED: Book now – call into The Farm Shed or phone 63751868 between 10am-4pm daily and pay to secure your booking.

We will keep you posted about future Break Bread events. We can’t wait to take more culinary journeys with Chris!
